West Riviera is a Northwestern Italian soul-funk band. Based in Ligurian, Riviera, the 5-piece blends soul-funk, rhythm & blues with a distinct Italian touch. The band was formed in 2023 by musicians from the same scene—already members of other common projects—and made their debut in July at the Riviera Jazz & Blues Festival, opening for Seattle’s True Loves, led by acclaimed soul/funk guitarist Jimmy James.

In October 2023, West Riviera took a flight to the United States for a mini-tour in Washington State, organized by True Loves’ bassist Bryant Moore. They performed across Seattle and other cities, sharing the stage with musicians and bands from the local scene.

The band’s debut album will be out this Spring featuring the already released tracks “Curtis Coorey”, a groovy single featuring the B3 organ legend Adam Scone The album also features guests from Parlor Greens / True Loves guitarist Jimmy James.
